Walking in Global Distress: A Call to Repentance

Jesus, describing the season before His return, spoke of “distress of nations, with perplexity” (Luke 21:25) — a phrase that has felt increasingly familiar to observers of global events in recent years, from economic instability to natural disasters to social unrest.
The Ministry’s prophetic teaching addresses these events directly, but always within a consistent biblical frame: distress in the nations is not merely something to react to with fear, but something Scripture consistently meets with a call to repentance. The prophet Joel, writing amid a locust plague that had devastated the land, did not call the people to panic — he called them to “rend your heart, and not your garments” and return to the LORD (Joel 2:12–13).
This is the pattern the Ministry follows in addressing world events: naming what is happening plainly, without sensationalism for its own sake, while consistently pointing back to the same response Scripture gives — repentance, holiness, and readiness, rather than despair.
“Nevertheless when the Son of Man comes, will He really find faith on the earth?” (Luke 18:8). The question is not whether distress will come — Scripture is clear that it will — but whether the Church meets it with faith, watchfulness and repentance, or with the world’s fear.
